Cascade Hospital for Animals Dog Park — 3810 Thornapple River Drive SE, Cascade, MI 49546
Cascade Hospital for Animals Dog Park is located within Cascade Township Park. This dog park is fully fenced-in with two separate sections for small and large dogs. There are water stations for canines and humans and waste stations with poop bags, ample parking, a 5-foot fence, and even a boot scrubber—just in case. You and your pup can enjoy this dog park from dawn til dusk daily.
And make sure to experience the rest of what Cascade Township Park offers. There are 55 acres of baseball and softball fields, a multi-purpose field, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, frisbee golf, tennis courts, and a walking/jogging path. On top of all that, there are even two large playgrounds, a picnic pavilion, a gazebo, picnic tables, restrooms, and a large hill that is great for sledding and tobogganing in the winter. There are plenty of wide open spaces for cross-country skiing during those snowy winter months.
Covell Dog Park — 501 Covell Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Covell Dog Park is a beautiful, off-leash dog park that is daily open from dawn to dusk. And if you think this might be a good dog park for you and your pup, follow their Facebook page! This community of pet parents and dog lovers is all about encouraging each other, hanging out at dog-friendly events, and learning how to be the best pet parents possible together.
This 1-acre dog park is plenty big for your dog and their crazy canine friends to play and run together. There are picnic tables, lush green grass, and sometimes kiddie pools during the warmer months. Plus very high fences, waste stations, and even some mulched areas. Keep in mind that there are no separate sections for smaller dogs.
Grand Ravines Dog Park — 3991 Fillmore Street, Jenison, MI 49428
Grand Ravines Dog Park is located at Grand Ravines South and is the first fenced-in off-leash dog park in Ottawa County. This dog park is 21 acres in size with multiple sections—one of them is for small dogs. Right now, this park has more than enough beautiful green grass and trees for your dog to be entertained all day. But in the near future, the Grand Ravines Dog Park intends to add: paved paths, picnic shelters, trees, lighting, benches, picnic tables, and restrooms.
Hillcrest Dog Park — 1309 Lyon Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Hillcrest Dog Park is an off-leash dog park located on the northeast side of Grand Rapids, MI. It is entirely fenced-in with separate sections for small and large dogs. This dog park has water stations, waste stations, giant shade trees, benches, and mulch as the ground covering. And it has a Facebook page that you can follow to stay up-to-date about special events like their Spring Dog Park Event or their Small Dog Social Hour.
The Pack Indoor Dog Park — 5205 W River Drive NE, Comstock Park, MI 49321
The Pack Indoor Dog Park is located in Comstock Park, open all year round and climate-controlled. Keep in mind that it is a membership-only dog park, but the fees are well worth it! This is actually Michigan’s first indoor off-leash dog park/restaurant/bar combo.
You’ll find things like pizza, wings, and plenty of appetizers on their menu. Plus, they offer beers, hard ciders, cocktails, wines, and even sangria on tap. You can grab a bite and a drink with your human friends while your dog has a blast with their new canine friends.
The Pack Indoor Dog Park also offers full-day and half-day doggy daycare full of “play and enrichment.” This is one dog park that you’ll want to check out!
Rockford Dog Park — 10 Mile Road NE, Rockford, MI 49341
Rockford Dog Park is an off-leash dog park located in Richardson-Sowerby Park. It was built because of “citizen-led fundraising and made possible by the generous donations of sponsors and individual donors.” The pet parents of this community wanted to provide a safe space where all of the dogs in the area could play and socialize together.
This off-leash dog park is fully fenced-in with two separate sections for small and large dogs. You’ll also find plenty of green grass, benches, and access to the Rogue River through the White Pine Trail at Richardson-Sowerby Park. Shaggy Pine Dog Park — 3895 Cherry Lane Avenue SE, Ada, MI 49301
Shaggy Pine Dog Park is a 16-acre off-leash dog park with “lush pine trees, rolling hills, and wide open fields” where your pup can run and play with all of the other crazy canines. This is a private dog park that requires membership and your dog to be up-to-date on vaccinations. They will also have your dog go through a quick behavioral evaluation on their first visit to the park.” All of this is to keep everyone safe and having a great time.
In addition to the dog park, they also provide Spa Shaggy - a do-it-yourself dog wash area with raised bathtubs. And Shaggy will clean up the mess after you’re done. Now that’s a pretty nice park!
