Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet walkers and Sitters to provide exceptional care for our k9 and feline clients. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to manage various pet care tasks, ensuring the well-being and happiness of our furry clients. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and excellent customer service skills to foster strong relationships with pet owners.

Duties

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during their stay.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for pets, including cleaning litter boxes and pet areas.
• Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the owner promptly.
• Engage in playtime and exercise activities to keep pets active and happy.
• Handle various breeds of dogs and other animals with confidence, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's needs and any incidents that may arise.
• Assist with heavy lifting as needed for larger pets or equipment related to pet care.

Experience

• Previous experience in pet care or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal handling is preferred.
• Skills in dog handling and familiarity with kennel environments are advantageous.
• Experience in customer service is essential to ensure a positive experience for pet owners.
• Knowledge of veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary technician is a plus but not required.

*Responsibilities:**

1. **Dog Walking:** Safely walk and exercise dogs of various breeds and sizes.

2. **Pet Sitting:** Provide in-home care for pets, including feeding, playtime, and administering medications if necessary.

3. **Client Communication:** Maintain open and transparent communication with pet owners regarding their pets' well-being and any updates during the service.

4. **Pet Transportation:** Safely transport pets to and from appointments, such as emergency vet visits.

5. **Documentation:** Keep detailed records of services provided, including the duration of walks and any noteworthy behaviors or health concerns.

3. **Physical Fitness:** Ability to walk and handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels.

5. **Flexibility:** Availability to work evenings and weekends.

6. **Valid Driver's License:** A valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle for transporting pets.

7. **Background Check:** Successful completion of a background check.
