Associate Dog Walker - Part Time

As a Ravenna Pet Care Associate, you will be a member of a small, highly-valued, team.

This is a W-2 position with an hourly rate of approximately $21 per hour (see Compensation for details).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, compassionate care for pets
• Safely travel to the homes of clients to walk their dog (or dogs) or provide other pet care services
• Practice time management and keep to the schedule you are provided
• Attend introductory meetings with existing clients
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Represent Ravenna Pet Care professionally and treat clients respectfully
• Use your smartphone to track services and send reports to clients

Minimum Requirements

• You love dogs
• You live in Seattle, 98115 (or in the immediate vicinity)
• You have a valid driver's license and a reliable car
• You can provide I-9 documentation required to show your identity and authorization to work
• You have a working smartphone
• You are available Monday to Friday between 11 and 3 to cover regularly scheduled dog walks (five to fifteen hours per week)
• You can walk at least five miles in all kinds of weather
• You are available for occasional early evening meet and greets with clients (particularly during the onboarding process)

Preferred, but not required

• You have previous experience as a dog walker
• You have experience with loose leash training or other training techniques
• You have the flexibility to periodically cover vacation care visits mornings, evenings, or weekends

Compensation

This is a W-2 position. Payment is monthly and calculated on a per walk basis as follows:

• 15 min walk/visit: $10.50
• 30 min walk/visit: $15.75
• 45 min walk/visit: $21.00
• 60 min walk/visit: $26.25

Ravenna Pet Care maintains a small service area, so travel time between clients is less than 15 min.
