Hooman for Hire is hiring an Evening Team Lead to help guide our pet care team while staying hands-on in the field. This role blends dog walking, group hikes, and in-home visits with some admin support. Experience with social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) is a plus.

Veterinary technicians, professional handlers, and animal science backgrounds are a strong fit — this role uses that training in a different setting.

Every new hire goes through hands-on onboarding and training, no matter your experience level coming in.

What you'll need

• 18+, with professional-level pet care experience or a background in fast-paced customer service (medical office experience counts)
• At least 1 year in that kind of environment, or related education
• A clean background check and driving record, valid in all 50 states
• A reliable vehicle that can handle Anchorage and Eagle River winters and terrain
• Comfortable working with a range of species, breeds, ages, and temperaments
• Able to walk at a brisk pace for up to 1 hour at a time, bend and stand often, and confidently handle multiple dogs/pets
• Available weekends and holidays, with at least one weekend day guaranteed each week
• Social media content/management experience preferred, not required

Schedule

Evening shift availability between 2pm–10pm.
