Hooman for Hire is a locally owned pet care company providing enrichment-focused, high-quality care for pets throughout Anchorage and Eagle River. We’re growing quickly and looking to bring on a couple of strong, independently motivated team members who want meaningful work, variety, and the opportunity to grow with a small, values-driven company with big plans.

What This Role Looks Like

This is ahands-on, field-based rolewhere no two days look the same. You will:

• Provide dog walks in all weather conditions
• Complete home visits and daytime pet sitting (generally between 8am-9pm)
• Care for a variety of species (dogs, cats, and other household animals)
• Drive between client homes throughout your shift
• Work independently while representing a professional, client-facing local business

Schedule & Availability

We are currently hiring for team members who are available between 2pm-9pm with Saturdays and/or Sundays strongly preferred.

Growth is not automatic or guaranteed, but for the right people, we actively build pathways that align with your goals. Promotion opportunities may be considered after 30–60 days, based on experience, performance, reliability, and readiness.

All new-hires start between $18-$21 per hour, with opportunities to receive tips and room to grow following a standard probationary period. Pay structure is bi-weekly with direct deposit.

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be 21+
• Have a personal, reliable vehicle
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Maintain adequate auto insurance
• Pass a clean 50-state background check and motor vehicle report
• Be able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, walk, and perform physical tasks regularly
• Be comfortable working outdoors, in all seasons, and in clients’ homes
• Be comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and documentation
• Be detail-oriented
