With a growing client base and award-winning reputation, we’re expanding our team to include a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to help us connect with pet lovers and attract new clients through engaging, on-brand digital content.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Social Media Manager with proven experience in building and managing business social media accounts. This is a contractor role with flexible hours, ideal for an experienced marketer who can work independently while collaborating closely with our leadership team.
You will be responsible for developing and executing a content strategy that drives engagement, strengthens brand awareness, and achieves marketing goals via Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage a monthly social media content calendar
- Create and edit engaging photo, graphic, and short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories)
- Monitor analytics to measure performance and adjust strategy to improve reach and engagement
- Coordinate with our team to highlight services, special offers, events, and client testimonials
- Stay up-to-date with trends in pet care and social media marketing to keep our content fresh and relevant
- Utilize paid advertising campaigns (boosted posts, targeted ads) when needed to expand reach
- Report on KPIs such as follower growth, engagement rates, and conversion metrics
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional social media management experience for business accounts
- Proven track record of growing brand presence and driving measurable business results on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics
- Ability to produce high-quality content (both visual and written) that aligns with brand voice and identity
- Proficiency with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Portfolio or case studies showcasing successful campaigns and measurable results
- Excellent written communication and storytelling skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to deadlines
- Bonus: Photography/videography skills, graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
Compensation & Schedule
- Contractor position with flexible hours
- Competitive rates based on experience and scope of work
- Weekly payments
- Mostly remote work, with occasional in-person meetings or content shoots preferred for local candidates
