Barking with the Bradley's, LLC is a small business in Sterling, VA with the goal of helping our clients to become guilt-free dog parents. We are professional and client-centric. When we decided to offer a dog walking service, we wanted to make sure all of our clients knew that we’d treat their pups like our own. Beyond our love-filled dog care services, the BwB team strives to go the extra mile with no-fee perks like post-visit reports (with GPS), pictures/videos during visits, events, “paw patrol” wipe down (upon request), product discounts, and birthday gifts so that their dog feels like royalty. We are licensed, insured, Pet First Aid & CPCR Certified, and committed to continuous learning in our field, so clients can rest assured that their dog is being well taken care of while they are away.

Barking with the Bradley’s, LLC is looking for an AMAZING dog walker to add to our team.


ROLE: CLIENT-ORIENTED Dog Walker


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reliable and punctual arrival to each visit then complete a report in the company’s scheduling application for each one
  • Be vigilant while providing care with the dog’s safety being paramount
  • Providing client requested care for the dog(s), which may include walk/relief break, enrichment exercises, training reinforcement, play time, feeding, watering, and cleaning dog bowls within the time allotted
  • Honest and professional client interaction
  • Be respectful of the client’s home by leaving the home as you found it (other than the removal of safety hazards if identified), securing the entry way on your way out, and safeguarding their key/access instructions
  • Disinfect your hands before and after visits to help keep both our team and our clients safe.
  • Participate in mandatory Pre-Visit Meet & Greets to assist with the onboarding of new dog walking clients
  • Respond to all company requests for service within 24 hours (including requests received via our booking application)
  • Communicate any urgent matters to the manager, client, and vet if needed
  • Participate in video or in-person check-in meeting with manager every other month
  • Wear casual comfortable attire and Barking with the Bradley’s apparel during each visit and event (please be mindful that whenever you are wearing our apparel that you are representing the company)
  • If desired, there will be many opportunities to work marketing events and network throughout the service area.


RESULTS:

  • Consistently complete visit reports in the booking app showing prompt arrival, minimum visit time elapsed, clear photos of the fun you had with their pup, an account of the pup’s relief, and a detailed summary of what you did in your time with the pup to track completion of the client-requested care
  • Client expectation are exceeded by team members going above and beyond to personalize each client’s care as you gain familiarity with his/her needs
  • Business manager has more time freedom because client questions or concerns are responded to in the booking app chat feature (all urgent matters are elevated to the manager)
  • Clients are receiving excellent care because every team member knows, understands, memorized, and embodies the PEACE philosophy
  • Receive $50 per referral resulting in a new dog walking subscription purchase


REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least a cumulative of two years of dog care experience (professional reference(s) will be requested)
  • Our specialty is giving each client the "royal treatment", so top-notch customer service skills are a must! At least a cumulative of two years of customer service experience (professional reference(s) will be requested)
  • Team-oriented mindset but also able to thrive while managing themselves and their time
  • Problem solving skills
  • Most requested walking visits will occur between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on weekdays, so must be available during these times on a regular basis. In addition, availability for in-home dog boarding is desirable.
  • Driver's License and a means of reliable transportation
  • Pet CPR and First Aid certification is not required at the time of hiring, but must be acquired within 3 months of onboarding and kept in an active status for the duration of your time on our team.
  • Well-versed in canine safety and reading/responding to canine body language
