This dog park area is open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM and is located on the northeast end of Staten Island, and well-behaved leashed dogs may walk around the rest of the park with their owners.

Arthur Von Briesen Park Off-Leash Area is located in the mid-park area on the eastern side. This park is a peaceful place to spend the day, letting your pup run freely or even taking them for a walk on leash around the paved walking trails here.
Bloomingdale Park Dog Run — Bloomingdale Park, Maguire Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309
Bloomingdale Park Dog Run is an off-leash dog park and is located within the 138 acres of Bloomingdale Park. The dog run area is situated at Maguire Avenue behind the athletic fields, closer to Ramona Avenue. It is also fully fenced-in with separate sections for small and large dogs, picnic tables on both sides, and waste stations provided.
One dog section uses mulch as the ground covering, and the other has turf grass. Keep in mind you'll want to bring your own water since none is provided. Also, there is plenty of on-leash grass space and paved trails where your pup can enjoy walking around with you.
Crescent Beach Park — Tennyson Dr & Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308
Crescent Beach Park is a peaceful coastal retreat that's perfect for dog owners looking for a quiet spot to enjoy nature. While dogs need to remain on-leash, the beachfront and grassy areas offer plenty of space for a leisurely walk or a game of fetch. The park is often less crowded than others, giving you and your pet a sense of solitude. The gentle sound of waves and the opportunity for your dog to dip their paws in the water make this park a soothing escape.
Gateway National Recreation Area — 210 New York Ave, Staten Island, NY 10305
Gateway National Recreation Area is a beautiful 27,000-acre dog-friendly green space right on the water. Although your dog will have to remain on a leash the whole time, this is a great spot to take them for a walk and enjoy the scenery together. There are plenty of running and walking paths for you and your canine to get some exercise together. And you can even go paddleboarding on the water with your pup. There is so much to do and see in the natural space here.
Silver Lake Park Dog Run — 700 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10301
Silver Lake Park Dog Run is a fully fenced-in, off-leash dog run in Silver Lake Park and is actually the largest dog park in all of Staten Island. This dog park provides separate fenced-in spaces for small and large dogs, benches for the humans to sit and relax on, and a combination of grass, sand, and mulch for the ground covering. You'll also find water stations, waste stations, and plenty of large shade trees surrounding the dog runs.
William T. Davis Refuge at Freshkills Park — 1100 Travis Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314
William T. Davis Refuge at Freshkills Park is a dog-friendly park area. Although your dog will have to remain on a leash the whole time, there is plenty of room for the two of you to roam together within the 814 acres of this park. It is actually the sixth largest park in the greater New York City area and is only 30 acres smaller than Central Park. William T. Davis Refuge was also the first designated wildlife preserve in New York. Here, you and your pup can explore the forested uplands, swap forests, salt marshes, and spring-fed ponds, all by way of the nature paths.
Willow Brook Park Off-Leash Area — 1 Eton Pl, Staten Island, NY 10314
Willowbrook Park Off-Leash Area is available to be used every day from 7 AM to 9 AM. The rest of the time, this space is used as an archery range. Although these are very limited hours, your pup is also allowed to explore the rest of the park with you while they are on a leash. You can enjoy the 5-acre lake, paved pathways, or even the 7.6-mile easy-to-moderate White Trail. This park also provides things like playgrounds, barbeque pits, and sports fields, which makes it a great spot to bring the whole family!
Wolfe's Pond Park Dog Run — 420 Cornelia Ave, Staten Island, NY 10312
Wolfe's Pond Park Dog Run offers an enclosed, off-leash dog run where pups can play and run freely. There are separate sections for small and large dogs, large shade trees, and amazing ocean views. Not only is there a fenced-in dog area, but dogs can also enjoy the nature trails while on a leash. Plus, this park often hosts dog-related events, including agility trial competitions. If your pup is up for the training, check out the competition!
And while you're over there, remember to check out Wolfe's Pond Beach. Although dogs aren't allowed to swim in the water, they are allowed to join you for a stroll on the beach, as long as they remain on-leash.
