Bannon Creek Dog Park is a delightful spot for dogs of all sizes to play and socialize. The park is well-maintained with plenty of shade trees, benches for owners, and water stations to keep pups hydrated. Barandas Dog Park — 2805 Grasslands Dr, Sacramento, CA 95833

One of Sacramento’s newest parks includes the Barandas Dog Park. The Barandas Park’s master plan was presented in 2020, and construction began mid-2021. This new park includes many activities for the entire family, including your furry family members.

The large park has two separate dog runs—one for small breeds and one for large breeds. The small dog section is 0.25 acres, and the large dog section is a full acre of room to romp. The park has drought-tolerant shade trees mixed with accent trees to add some beauty to the area. The perimeter has a chain-link fence and offers a double-gated entry.

In addition to this, you can find accessible paths, concrete benches for the humans, pet waste stations, and water fountains for humans and canines to share. With this being a newer park, it is still maturing in its community and has a chance to be a special place for a lot of pet parents and their fur babies.

Granite Park Dog Park — 8200 Ramona Ave, Sacramento, CA 95826

Granite Regional Park Dog Park stands out with its vast open space and well-kept grounds. This park includes separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, ensuring safe play for all. The ground is covered with gravel, which helps keep the area clean and mud-free. Agility equipment is available for an added challenge, and there are shaded areas and benches for comfort. The rest of Granite Regional Park offers sports fields and a skate park, making it a great destination for the whole family.

Lynn Robie Dog Park — 7895 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95832

Lynn Robie Dog Park is located at the Bill Conlin Youth Sports Complex. The combination of youth sports fields and a beautifully cared-for dog park just makes sense. Drop the kids off for practice and make your way over to the dog park. When you leave the complex, everyone with endless energy ought to be tired at this point.

The dog park has two sections—small and large breed sections. The small dog section is 0.21 acres, and the large breed section is 1.34 acres. Both areas contain turf areas alongside the use of barked mulch.

Lynn Robie Dog Park has a double-gated entry, pet waste stations, shade areas, drinking fountains, and plenty of room for your pup to do their zoomies. They say the park opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 6:30 PM daily.

Valley Oak Dog Park — 2780 Mabry Dr, Sacramento, CA 95835

Valley Oak Dog Park is a large off-leash area for you and your family to laugh and play. Located on the north side of Sacramento—near the airport—you’ll find this large dog park.

It has two different areas—one for small dogs and one for large dogs. The small dog section is 0.54 acres, and the large dog section is two full acres of room to run. Both areas have a mixture of turf and mulch for ground covering, along with a double-gated entry.

There are tables, benches, pet-waste stations, and drinking fountains for the pups and humans. The only downside is that there aren’t many shade trees here yet.

Partner Dog Park — 5699 South Land Park Dr, Sacramento, CA 95822

Partner Dog Park is located inside Partner Park behind Belle Cooledge Community Center. If you want a place to socialize with lots of pups and some pretty chill humans, this park has a great vibe of people being connected.

It has over two acres of space for the four-legged friends to run, so try to keep up! The ground covering is mostly grass that is well maintained. And there are plenty of mature shade trees and benches to take a rest. It also has two water stations for humans and canines. Partner Park is open daily from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM.

Truitt Bark Park — 1818 Q St, Sacramento, CA 95811

Truitt Bark Park is a large portion of Brooks Truitt Park. You’ll find this park squished between Q Street, 19th Street, and the Regional Transit Tracks near downtown Sacramento in midtown.

The park includes a community garden, sculptures, artwork, and of course, the dog park. The dog park has two smaller dog runs, but that is par for the course with downtown dog runs. The large dog run is 0.23 acres, and the small run is 0.12 acres. There are mature shade trees, drought-tolerant landscaping, pet-waste stations, and water fountains for the pups. This park is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

North Natomas Regional Park — 2501 New Market Drive, Sacramento, CA 95835

North Natomas Regional Park has a great dog park inside of its borders and is one of the most popular dog parks in the region—for a good reason too! The park itself has lots of ball fields, walkways, restrooms, an aquatic complex, a lake, and it hosts a Farmer’s Market.

The dog park is enclosed with a chain link fence and has a mix of turf and mulch for your pups to run on. There are drinking fountains, a fire hydrant to mark, agility training courses, pet waste stations, and more for your pup. As the pet parent, you can enjoy the shade canopy, drought-tolerant landscaping, and concrete benches too.

An added bonus is there is a dog wash station. So you can bring your pup here and keep the mess at the park instead of in your house. Then let your pampered pooch run around to dry off before heading home. This is a great park that both you and your pup will come to love. This park is open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.

Local Bark Park — 4024 Power Inn Rd, Sacramento, CA 95826

The Local Bark Park at the Animal Den is Sacramento’s only private dog park. Private dog parks aren’t for everyone, but many pet parents are craving a space where they can have some peace of mind that everyone is playing by the same set of rules.

At Local Bark Park, your dog will only be mingling with other dogs that are up to date on their vaccines, are spayed or neutered, and have the right temperament to play nice with others—though dogs will be dogs on occasion.

The Local Bark Park is members-only, has a huge in-ground pool just for dogs, a climbing structure, and even a sandbox for your pup to dig. The humans will enjoy the craft beer from local breweries and other refreshments. When you head to the Local Bark Park, you are heading to hang out with like-minded humans and canines together.
